Seydina M'BOUP
Equestrian

Seydina received a scholarship to help him enter competitions to become a professional rider.

What is your sporting background ?
I started riding at the age of 3 and I have been riding at UCPA La Courneuve since the age of 7. I am at ‘Gallop 7’ level. Thanks to the endowment, I have been able to compete in club events for the last two years. This year, I qualified for the French club championship at Lamotte Beuvron in eventing and dressage categories in which I hope to be ranked.

How do you see the profession today ?
It's a difficult profession, where you really have to hold on to make a place for yourself in high-level riding. It's a question of the quality of the rider but also of the quality of the horse, the material and financial means, relationships and trust. But I am motivated and I intend to succeed.

How do you see yourself in 5 years ? In 10 years ?
In 5 years, I see myself taking part in eventing competitions at amateur level. In 10 years, I hope to have my own horse and to be able to compete in top level eventing (four stars).
