Ayoub MOUMEN
Fashion designer

Ayoub received a creation grant in partnership with the Atelier des Artistes en Exil.

What is your artistic background ?
I started by joining Esmod International Fashion University Group in Tunis and obtained a degree in haute couture & new fashion design. In 2013, I designed my first collection, Explosion Emotionnelle. In 2014, I was a stylist at Sasio, a women's ready-to-wear fashion retailer, and I participated in Atlanta Fashion Week. In 2016, I created my own clothing brand, Refuge Engaged Wear Studio (R.E.W. Studio), with which I won 3rd prize at the 2018 E-fashion award, a designer competition that unites fashion and digital. I have also been a member of the Atelier des Artistes en Exil since 2018.

How do you see your profession today ?
I have a rather tough view of my profession. I have the feeling that the demand is very strong but that it is difficult to find the means when you are a young, committed designer. However, I am beginning to use my creativity as a voice of resistance.

How do you see yourself in five years ? In 10 years ?
I see myself as an independent creator dedicated to the development of my collective R.E.W Studio.
